How to Find Your Coordinates

Open Google Maps, right-click on your desired location, and the coordinates will appear at the top of the context menu. You can also search for an address and copy the coordinates from the URL bar. Latitude ranges from -90 to 90, longitude from -180 to 180.

A location QR code encodes geographic coordinates (latitude and longitude) into a scannable code. When scanned, it opens the location in Google Maps or the user's default map application, showing them exactly where the place is.

The easiest way is to open Google Maps, right-click on any location, and the coordinates will appear at the top of the context menu. You can also search for an address in Google Maps and copy the coordinates from the URL. Latitude is the first number and longitude is the second.

GPS coordinates can be extremely precise. Using 4 decimal places gives you accuracy to about 11 meters, which is sufficient for most use cases. For most addresses, the coordinates from Google Maps will point to the exact building.
