Terms of Service

Please read these terms carefully before using QRCode Premium. By using our service, you agree to these terms.

Last updated: March 6, 2026

Overview

Welcome to QRCode Premium. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the QRCode Premium website, tools, and services (collectively, "the Service") available at qrcodepremium.com. Please read these Terms carefully before using our Service, as they constitute a legally binding agreement between you and QRCode Premium.

We have written these Terms to be as clear and straightforward as possible. Our goal is to ensure that both you and QRCode Premium understand your respective rights and obligations. If any part of these Terms is unclear, please don't hesitate to contact us for clarification.

These Terms work together with our Privacy Policy, which describes how we handle information related to your use of the Service. By using QRCode Premium, you also agree to our Privacy Policy.

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing, browsing, or using QRCode Premium ("the Service"), available at qrcodepremium.com, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must discontinue use of the Service immediately.

These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and anyone who accesses or uses the Service, regardless of how they access it (desktop browser, mobile browser, embedded webview, etc.).

You represent and warrant that you have the legal capacity and authority to enter into these Terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms, and references to "you" will include that organization.

If you are under the age of 13, you may not use the Service. If you are between the ages of 13 and 18 (or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction), you may only use the Service with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to be bound by these Terms.

2. Service Description

QRCode Premium provides a free, browser-based QR code generator designed for individuals, businesses, and organizations worldwide. Our Service enables users to create professional-quality QR codes without requiring any account registration, software installation, or payment.

Core Features

The Service allows users to:

  • Generate QR codes for 35+ purposes including URLs, plain text, WiFi credentials, contact cards (vCard), email addresses, phone numbers, SMS messages, calendar events, and more
  • Social media QR codes for platforms including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, Twitter/X, LinkedIn, WhatsApp, Telegram, Snapchat, Pinterest, Discord, Threads, Reddit, and others
  • Specialty QR codes for cryptocurrency payments (Bitcoin, Ethereum), payment services (PayPal), music platforms (Spotify, Apple Music, SoundCloud), video conferencing (Zoom, Skype), developer tools (GitHub), and business tools (Google Review, App Store links)
  • Customize appearance with multiple dot styles, corner shapes, colors (including gradients), background colors, embedded logos/images, and 12 frame styles
  • Export in multiple formats including PNG, SVG, WebP, and PDF with configurable quality and size settings
  • Batch generation to create multiple QR codes simultaneously for efficient workflows

Client-Side Processing

All QR code generation and customization is performed entirely client-side within your web browser using JavaScript. This means:

  • Your data never leaves your device during QR code generation
  • No content you enter (URLs, text, WiFi passwords, contact information, etc.) is transmitted to our servers
  • QR codes are rendered locally on your device's processor
  • Downloaded files are generated in your browser, not on our servers
  • We have no ability to see, access, store, or log the content of your QR codes

This architecture was chosen deliberately to maximize your privacy and data security.

Service Availability

We aim to keep QRCode Premium available 24/7, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, server issues, or circumstances beyond our control. We will make reasonable efforts to minimize downtime and restore service promptly.

3. Free Use & Licensing

QRCode Premium is provided completely free of charge. There are no premium tiers, paid subscriptions, hidden fees, usage limits, watermarks, or in-app purchases. Every feature available on the platform is accessible to every user at no cost.

Personal & Commercial Use

You may use the Service and any QR codes generated through it for any lawful purpose, including but not limited to:

  • Personal use: sharing WiFi passwords, personal websites, social media profiles, contact information with friends and family
  • Commercial use: marketing materials, product packaging, business cards, menus, promotional campaigns, advertisements, storefronts
  • Educational use: classroom materials, school projects, educational resources, library systems, campus navigation
  • Non-profit use: fundraising campaigns, event coordination, volunteer management, community outreach
  • Government use: public services, citizen engagement, informational displays, municipal applications

Ownership of Generated QR Codes

QR codes generated using our Service belong entirely to you. We do not claim any ownership, copyright, licensing rights, or any other intellectual property rights over the QR codes you create. You are free to use, distribute, modify, print, embed, sell, or otherwise exploit your generated QR codes in any way you see fit, without attribution to QRCode Premium (though attribution is always appreciated).

No Obligation

Your use of QRCode Premium is entirely voluntary. You are under no obligation to continue using the Service. You may stop using QRCode Premium at any time without any notice or penalty.

4. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree to use the Service responsibly and only for lawful purposes. While we encourage creative and diverse use of QR codes, certain activities are strictly prohibited.

Prohibited Activities

You may not use QRCode Premium to:

  • Malicious content: Generate QR codes that link to websites containing malware, viruses, trojans, ransomware, spyware, or any other harmful software
  • Phishing & fraud: Create QR codes designed to deceive users, impersonate legitimate organizations, steal personal information, or facilitate any form of fraud or scam
  • Illegal content: Generate QR codes that link to or facilitate access to content that is illegal in your jurisdiction, including but not limited to child exploitation material, illegal drug sales, weapons trafficking, or human trafficking
  • Harassment & abuse: Create QR codes intended to harass, threaten, stalk, intimidate, or cause harm to any individual or group
  • Spam & unsolicited content: Use QR codes as part of spam campaigns, unsolicited bulk messaging, or deceptive advertising practices
  • Intellectual property infringement: Generate QR codes that infringe on the copyrights, trademarks, patents, trade secrets, or other intellectual property rights of any third party
  • Service disruption: Engage in any activity that disrupts, interferes with, degrades, or impairs the functioning of the Service, including denial-of-service attacks, code injection, or excessive automated requests
  • Unauthorized access: Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our servers, infrastructure, code, databases, or any systems connected to the Service
  • Automated abuse: Use bots, scrapers, crawlers, or other automated tools to excessively access, scrape, or download content from the Service beyond normal usage patterns
  • Reverse engineering: Attempt to decompile, reverse engineer, or extract source code from the Service for the purpose of creating a competing product or service (note: inspecting client-side code for educational purposes is acceptable)

Enforcement

We reserve the right to investigate suspected violations of these Terms and to take appropriate action, which may include restricting access to the Service from specific IP addresses, networks, or geographic regions. Since QRCode Premium does not require user accounts, enforcement is applied at the network level.

If you become aware of any misuse of the Service, we encourage you to report it to us at [email protected].

5. User Responsibilities

As a user of QRCode Premium, you bear certain responsibilities when creating and distributing QR codes:

Content Responsibility

You are solely responsible for the content encoded in your QR codes, including the URLs, text, contact information, and any other data you input. QRCode Premium does not review, monitor, or approve the content of QR codes generated through our Service. You must ensure that your QR codes comply with all applicable local, state, national, and international laws and regulations.

Testing & Verification

We strongly recommend that you test all QR codes before distributing, printing, or publishing them. While our generator produces standards-compliant QR codes, various factors can affect scannability, including print quality, size, color contrast, and the scanning device used. It is your responsibility to verify that your QR codes function correctly for your intended purpose.

Destination URLs

If you create QR codes that link to websites or online content, you are responsible for ensuring that the destination remains accessible, appropriate, and compliant with applicable laws. QR codes that are printed on physical materials may remain in circulation long after the destination URL changes or becomes unavailable.

Accuracy of Information

You are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of information encoded in your QR codes. This is particularly important for contact cards (vCards), WiFi credentials, event details, and payment information, where incorrect data could cause inconvenience or confusion to those who scan your QR codes.

6. Intellectual Property

Your Content

You retain all rights, title, and interest in any content you input into the QR code generator, including but not limited to text, URLs, images, logos, contact information, and any other data. Since all QR code generation is performed locally in your browser, we never have access to your content and therefore cannot claim any rights to it. Your intellectual property remains entirely yours.

Our Content

The QRCode Premium website and Service — including but not limited to its design, layout, user interface, source code, algorithms, graphics, logos, icons, text content, documentation, and all visual and interactive elements — are the property of QRCode Premium and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not:

  • Copy, reproduce, or duplicate the website or any substantial portion thereof
  • Modify, adapt, or create derivative works based on the website
  • Distribute, sell, license, or otherwise transfer any part of the website
  • Use the QRCode Premium name, logo, or branding in a way that suggests endorsement or affiliation without our prior written consent
  • Frame, mirror, or incorporate the website into another website or application without permission

Generated QR Codes

QR codes generated using our Service are not subject to any licensing restrictions or royalty obligations from QRCode Premium. You receive full, unrestricted, perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free rights to use, distribute, modify, display, and commercially exploit any QR codes you generate, without any attribution requirement. This includes QR codes with custom colors, logos, frames, and other styling applied through our Service.

Third-Party Intellectual Property

When uploading logos or images to embed in your QR codes, you represent and warrant that you own or have the necessary licenses, rights, and permissions to use such content. QRCode Premium is not responsible for any intellectual property infringement resulting from content you upload or embed in your QR codes.

Open Standards

QR codes themselves are based on an open international standard (ISO/IEC 18004). The QR code format is free to use and is not subject to patent restrictions for general use. Our Service implements this open standard to generate compatible QR codes.

7. Privacy & Data

Your privacy is fundamental to how we designed and built QRCode Premium. This section provides a summary of our data practices. For complete details, please refer to our Privacy Policy.

Data We Don't Collect

Due to our client-side architecture, we do not collect, process, store, or have access to:

  • The content of any QR codes you generate (URLs, text, WiFi passwords, contact info, etc.)
  • Images or logos you upload for embedding in QR codes
  • Your QR code customization preferences or settings
  • The QR code files you download
  • Any personal information unless you voluntarily provide it through our contact form

Data We May Collect

Like most websites, our servers may automatically log basic technical information such as IP addresses, browser type, referring URLs, and pages visited. We may also use analytics tools to understand general usage patterns. This data is used solely to maintain and improve the Service and is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Cookies

We may use essential cookies for basic website functionality and optional analytics cookies to understand how users interact with our Service. You can manage your cookie preferences through your browser settings. For detailed information about our cookie practices, please see our Privacy Policy.

8. Disclaimers & Warranties

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

No Warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, QRCode Premium expressly disclaims all warranties, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including but not limited to:

  • Merchantability: We do not warrant that the Service will meet your specific requirements or expectations
  • Fitness for a particular purpose: We make no guarantees about the suitability of the Service for any particular use case
  • Non-infringement: While we believe our Service does not infringe on any third-party rights, we cannot guarantee this in all jurisdictions
  • Accuracy: We do not warrant that QR codes generated will be error-free, scannable by all devices, or function correctly in all conditions
  • Availability: We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
  • Compatibility: We do not guarantee compatibility with all browsers, devices, operating systems, or QR code scanning applications

QR Code Quality

While we strive to ensure that all QR codes generated through our Service are scannable, reliable, and compliant with the QR code standard (ISO/IEC 18004), numerous external factors can affect QR code performance, including:

  • Print resolution and quality of the printing medium
  • Physical size of the printed QR code relative to scanning distance
  • Color contrast between the QR code and its background
  • Environmental conditions (lighting, angle, surface reflection)
  • The scanning device's camera quality and software capabilities
  • Complexity and length of the encoded data
  • Logo/image overlays that may obstruct QR code data modules

We strongly recommend testing QR codes thoroughly before mass printing, distributing, or using them in critical applications.

No Professional Advice

Nothing on the QRCode Premium website constitutes professional, legal, financial, or technical advice. The Service is a tool, and you are responsible for how you use it and the decisions you make based on its output.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, QRCode Premium, its operators, owners, employees, affiliates, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including but not limited to damages for:

  • Loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses
  • Your use of or inability to use the Service
  • Any QR codes generated, printed, distributed, or used through the Service
  • Any unauthorized access to or alteration of your data or transmissions
  • Any interruption, suspension, or cessation of the Service
  • Any bugs, viruses, or other harmful components that may be transmitted through the Service
  • Any errors, inaccuracies, or omissions in QR codes generated
  • The cost of procurement of substitute goods and services
  • Any third-party conduct or content accessed through QR codes generated by the Service

This limitation of liability applies whether the alleged liability is based on contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, or any other legal theory, even if QRCode Premium has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

In jurisdictions that do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, our liability shall be limited to the maximum extent permitted by law. Since QRCode Premium is a free service, the maximum aggregate liability of QRCode Premium shall not exceed one hundred US dollars ($100).

10. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless QRCode Premium, its operators, owners, employees, and affiliates from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, expenses, and fees (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from or related to:

  • Your use of the Service or any QR codes generated through it
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any applicable law, rule, or regulation
  • Your violation of any rights of a third party, including intellectual property rights
  • Any content you encode in QR codes generated through the Service
  • Any claim that QR codes you created caused damage to a third party

This indemnification obligation will survive the termination of these Terms and your use of the Service.

11. Third-Party Links & Services

QR codes you create through our Service may link to third-party websites, applications, and services that are not owned, controlled, or operated by QRCode Premium. We want to be transparent about our relationship with these third parties.

No Endorsement

The inclusion of any third-party platform as a QR code type option (e.g., Instagram, WhatsApp, YouTube, Bitcoin, etc.) does not imply endorsement, sponsorship, or affiliation with that platform. These options are provided solely for your convenience.

Third-Party Responsibility

QRCode Premium is not responsible for:

  • The content, accuracy, legality, or appropriateness of any third-party websites or services linked through QR codes
  • The privacy practices, terms of service, or data handling of third-party websites
  • Any transactions, interactions, or disputes between you and third-party websites
  • The availability, performance, or security of any third-party services
  • Any changes to third-party URLs, platforms, or services that may cause QR codes to stop functioning

Third-Party Libraries

Our Service utilizes certain open-source libraries for QR code generation and file export functionality. These libraries are subject to their own respective licenses and terms. We make reasonable efforts to use only reputable, well-maintained libraries.

We encourage you to review the terms of service and privacy policies of any third-party websites or services that you link to via QR codes.

12. Service Modifications

QRCode Premium reserves the right to modify, update, enhance, or discontinue any aspect of the Service at any time, with or without notice. This includes but is not limited to:

  • Adding features: We may introduce new QR code types, customization options, export formats, or other capabilities
  • Removing features: We may discontinue features that are no longer supported, underused, or technically infeasible
  • Changing functionality: We may alter how existing features work to improve performance, security, or user experience
  • Design updates: We may update the visual design, layout, and user interface of the Service
  • Technical changes: We may update underlying technologies, libraries, frameworks, or infrastructure

We will make reasonable efforts to ensure that updates do not disrupt your ability to generate QR codes. However, we cannot guarantee backward compatibility for all features and configurations across all updates.

QR codes you have already generated and downloaded will not be affected by any changes to the Service, as they are standalone files stored on your own devices.

13. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify, amend, or replace these Terms at any time at our sole discretion. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.

Notification of Changes

For significant changes to these Terms, we will make reasonable efforts to provide notice through one or more of the following methods:

  • Updating the "Last updated" date prominently on this page
  • Displaying a notice on the QRCode Premium homepage
  • Making an announcement through our social media channels

Acceptance of Changes

Your continued use of the Service after any modifications to these Terms constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree with the modified Terms, your sole remedy is to discontinue use of the Service.

We recommend reviewing these Terms periodically to stay informed of any updates. Material changes will not be applied retroactively and will become effective no sooner than the date they are posted.

14. Termination

We may restrict, suspend, or terminate access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice, effective immediately.

Grounds for Termination

Common reasons for restricting access include, but are not limited to:

  • Violation of these Terms of Service or our Acceptable Use Policy
  • Abusive or excessive automated access that impacts Service performance
  • Use of the Service for illegal activities or to generate QR codes linking to malicious content
  • Attempts to compromise the security or integrity of the Service
  • Any behavior that we reasonably determine is harmful to other users or to QRCode Premium

Effect of Termination

Since QRCode Premium does not require user accounts, termination applies to restricting access from specific IP addresses, networks, or other identifying characteristics. Upon termination:

  • Your access to the Service will be revoked
  • QR codes you have already generated and downloaded remain yours and are unaffected
  • The following sections of these Terms survive termination: Intellectual Property, Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability, Indemnification, and Governing Law

Voluntary Discontinuation

You may stop using the Service at any time without any notice or obligation. Since we don't collect personal data or maintain user accounts, there is no account to delete or data to request removal of.

15. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles. You agree that any legal action or proceeding relating to these Terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the applicable courts.

Dispute Resolution

In the event of any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the Service, you agree to first attempt to resolve the dispute informally by contacting us at [email protected]. We will make good-faith efforts to resolve any dispute within 30 days of receiving your notice.

If the dispute cannot be resolved through informal negotiation within 30 days, either party may pursue formal resolution through applicable legal channels. Both parties agree to participate in good faith in any mediation or alternative dispute resolution process before initiating formal legal proceedings.

Class Action Waiver

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree that any disputes will be resolved on an individual basis and that you will not bring or participate in any class action, collective action, or representative proceeding against QRCode Premium.

16. Accessibility

QRCode Premium is committed to making our Service accessible to all users, including those with disabilities. We strive to comply with applicable accessibility standards and guidelines, including the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1.

If you encounter any accessibility barriers while using QRCode Premium, please contact us at [email protected] so we can work to address the issue. We welcome feedback on how we can improve the accessibility of our Service.

17. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. The invalid, illegal, or unenforceable provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid, legal, and enforceable while preserving its original intent as closely as possible.

The failure of QRCode Premium to exercise or enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision. Any waiver of any provision of these Terms will be effective only if in writing and signed by QRCode Premium.

18. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and QRCode Premium regarding your use of the Service. These Terms supersede any prior agreements, communications, or understandings, whether oral or written, relating to the subject matter hereof.

No additional terms or conditions proposed by you (whether in a purchase order, email, or otherwise) shall be binding unless expressly agreed to in writing by QRCode Premium.

19. International Users

QRCode Premium is accessible to users worldwide. If you access the Service from outside your home jurisdiction, you do so on your own initiative and are responsible for compliance with local laws and regulations applicable to your use of the Service.

We make no representation that the Service or materials available through it are appropriate or available for use in any particular location. Users who choose to access the Service from jurisdictions where QR code usage may be regulated or restricted do so at their own risk and are solely responsible for compliance with applicable local laws.

For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or other jurisdictions with specific consumer protection laws, nothing in these Terms shall affect your statutory rights as a consumer under applicable mandatory consumer protection legislation.
